Vision For The City of Light Health & Ministry Center

by Ed Bednarczyk, PharmD

The "City of Light Health and Ministry Center" is a place where faith, ethics, science, service, healthcare, education, ministry, encouragement, and inspiration all come together in one place.

My hope is that this new center will provide health professionals, students, pastors, and others, a place for...

The Heart and Story of a Volunteer

by Brad Bauer

The most important part of volunteering and serving is getting to know and love others who are co-laborers in God’s work. It has been my experience that as much as God has allowed me to give to CMDA (time, energy, creativity, and resources), He has given me much more back through others...

CMDA is on the forefront of Christian Health Care and we are looking for volunteers to join us in spearheading the new City of Light Health and Ministry center. If you have a heart for Health Care Professionals, students, and mission work, please contact:

Do You Feel Stuck or Frustrated? Coaching May Be Your Answer

“Debra's coaching helped me to open up and share what was really going on inside of me as I struggled through one of the hardest seasons of life.” -DP

Coaching is about you – your goals, your learning, and your growth. Everyone is unique. Each one has their hopes and a God-given purpose for every season of their life.

As a coach in training, my key interest is to bring God into the conversation and create a safe space where you can identify, and navigate through to that next goal and your purpose.  All communication is confidential.

Behold The Lamb

by Debra Minotti

"Oh morning stars together, proclaim thy holy birth. And praises sing to God the king, and peace to men on earth."

I have had the privilege of working with the Jewish people and Israel for almost twenty years. When I stood in the fields of Bethlehem, I was in awe and wondered, “Why Bethlehem?” Let me share with you what I have learned, and I hope it deepens your love for the Savior as it has mine.
Another term for Bethlehem is "Migdal Eder"; the tower of the Flock (Genesis 35:21). It is only a short distance from Jerusalem. In the fields of Bethlehem, the sacrificial lambs were born and cared for until they were brought to Jerusalem to be sacrificed for the sins of the people.

We know the testimony of the angels proclaiming to shepherds,
How extraordinary, and yet so fitting, that the sacrificial lamb of God would be delivered in Bethlehem and placed in a manger, and that those particular shepherds would be the first to give witness. Thirty-three years later, Jesus would be brought before the priests and proclaimed guilty. The Lamb of God, slain for our sins.

May God Bless you and your loved ones.

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

Students Celebrate The Season

On December 9th, the City of Light Health & Ministry Center hosted, for the first time, a student Christmas party. We sang carols (well, tried our best to!), read the nativity story, and decorated gingerbread cookies.

A special thank you to Chris Sullivan for pulling this together and his dedication to the students. Also, thank you to all those who volunteered who worked so hard to establish the "City of Light H&M Center" together.

To God Be the Glory!
